English Language Advisory Committee
What is ELAC - English Language Advisory Committee
A school-level committee comprised of parents, staff, and community members designated to advise school officials on English learner programs and services. The overall aim of each ELAC is to advise the principal, school staff, and School Site Council on programs and services for English Learners. The ELAC is a ideal vehicle for informing parents about school processes, on strategies to increase students' academic performance, home/school communications, testing, becoming involved, in the life of the school, and developing leadership skills.
